Perspective and Islamic architecture drawing course:

This course is going to teach perspective to Ages +14. The students will learn the tricks of 1 point, 2 points and will be able to draw their own ideas in perspective. Also they will learn to analyze the architectural forms and will study some Islamic architecture forms with their new skills. At the last week of class the students will use the ancient concepts to build futuristic mosques in perspective. Below is a list of the course contents:

Week 1: Introduction to the History of perspective, one point perspective, Drawing a city scene

Week 2: interior scenes in 1 point perspective, drawing an Islamic courtyard

Week3: 2 point perspective, trying to draw boxes in 2 points perspective, drawing a city scene

Week4: Draw an interior scene in 2 point perspective, Drawing cylinders in Perspective

Week5: Persian style mosques

Week6: Ottoman style architecture

Week7: Mamluk and Fatimid style mosques in Egypt

Week8: Designing future mosques

(each session will be 1 – 1:30 hr)

Time & Day: time of classes to be decided (TBD) in coordination with time zones and convenience of participants. Before we start the classes we ask the preferable time of the participants and then we set the time. It is probable that we start 2 or 3 classes to cover all the time zones.

This course will start on December 2nd.

The course will be taught by Mahdi T.Yazdi, author and illustrator of Quranic infographics and Hadith infographics books. Instructor has Bachelors in architecture and a decade experience as an art professional.
